Mildred “Carol” Smart, age 86, of Nelsonville, Ohio, passed away September 3, 2023, at Fairfield Medical Center, Lancaster, Ohio with her children by her side.
Carol was born April 17, 1937, in Athens, Ohio to Russuel Kinebriel and Delpha Klinebriel. She was a lifelong member of the Connett Methodist Church. She enjoyed nature, flowers, and caring for babies.
Surviving are children, Tina (George) Simms and Steve (Theresa) Morris; grandchildren, Steve Gastin, Justin Simms, Steven Morris Jr., and Stacy Getz; great-grandchildren, Molly Gastin, Spencer Gastin, Ava Morris, R.J. Morris, Harper Simms, Caiyen Owens, and Eden Owens; brother, Rusty Klinebriel; sisters, Betty Kincade and Rita Lanning; and several nieces and nephews.
Carol was preceded in death by husband, Charles Smart; parents, Russuel and Delpha Kinebriel; son, Chuck Jolley; grandson, Waylon Morris; brother, Raymond Klinebriel; and sister, Kathy Freer.
Graveside services were held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday September 9, 2023, at Connett Cemetery, Nelsonville, Ohio with Robert Vanbibber officiating. Arrangements were by the Warren-Brown Funeral Home of Nelsonville, Ohio.
