Misty Dawn York, age 35, of Lancaster, Ohio, passed away August 13, 2022, at her residence.
Misty was born February 15, 1987, in Galion, Ohio. She went to The Ohio State University Newark Campus. After receiving her nursing degree, she started working at the Arbors at Carroll Nursing Home in Carroll, Ohio. Misty loved spending time with her nieces and nephews. She enjoyed festivities at Halloween and loved watching the movie “Nightmare before Christmas”.
Surviving are her mother, Beverly (Ron) Dauer of Lancaster; significant other, Mathew Stover; brother, James (Sandie) York of Lancaster; nephews, John York of Lancaster, Preston Leonard of Lancaster, and Haydon Leonard of Lancaster; nieces, Kyann York of Baltimore and Natale York of Baltimore; aunts, uncles, and cousins; 2 step-sisters, and a step-brother; and her dogs, Zero and Zooey.
Misty was preceded in death by her father, James Earl York; grandparents, Carl and Sarah Westerviller and Russell and Ola York.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 P.M., Friday, August 19, 2022, at the Warren-Brown Funeral Home, Nelsonville, Ohio with Pastor Robert VanBibber officiating. Burial was in Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville, Ohio.
Calling hours were observed on Thursday, August 18, 2022, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
