Our beloved Rebecca Ann Lingo, age 84, of Logan, Ohio, was received into the hands of God on May 1, 2024.
Becky was born November 20, 1939, in Forsyth County, NC to James Thomas Vaughn Sr and Fleta Burrow Vaughn. She was blessed with a large and loving family, and her journey through life developed her unwavering faith in the Lord. After retiring from Lucent Technologies, Becky dedicated her life to the service of others, sharing her love of Christ through singing, volunteering, sharing scripture, and prayer. Throughout her life, she maintained a sweet and caring demeanor that won the love and adoration of all who were lucky enough to know her. Becky was a warm and gentle person, who cherished the friendships she built within her church and her community. Her signature gift of joy, shown through her constant smiles, laughter, and joking around, will never be forgotten. She was a member and song leader of the First Union Church; and she enjoyed attending gospel sing-alongs, and volunteering at the Smith Chapel Food Pantry in Logan.
Becky is survived by her loving husband, Robert “Bob” Lingo; sons, Keith Ball of Lexington, NC, Michael Ball of Lewisville, NC, Robert S. Lingo (Ruth) and Terrance Lingo (Ellen); daughters, Teresa Leviner (Joel Bowden) of Yadkinville, NC, Laura Coggins (Dale) of Clemmons, NC. Cindy Toshie (Andrew) of Winter Springs, FL, Denise Mills (Scott) of Kernersville, NC, Angela Ball of Elkin, NC, and Sandra J. Martin (Andrew); grandchildren, Melissa Leviner Still of Lexington, NC. Andrew Leviner (Kaitlyn) of Toccoa, GA, Cheryl Nagy of Rock Hill, SC, Jay Nagy of Kernersville, NC, Gray Lineberry of Lewisville, NC, Nicholas Lineberry of Kannapolis, NC, Kristopher Reifsnider (Sara) of Clemmons, NC. Along with her parents, Becky was preceded in death by her sister, Lucille Vaughn Edwards and brother, James Thomas Vaughn, Jr.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 P.M. Monday, May 6, 2024, at the Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home, Logan, Ohio with Pastor Mike Adkins officiating. Burial was in Fairview Memorial Gardens, Rockbridge, Ohio.
Calling hours were observed on Monday from 11 A.M. to 1 PM. at the funeral home.
