Virginia D. Lanning, age 81, of Logan, Ohio, passed away March 12, 2024, at Embassy of Logan in Logan, Ohio.
Virginia was born on December 8, 1942, in Hocking County to Lawrence E. and Mae M. Lanning. She loved to sew and draw; and was an avid Christian.
Surviving are her sister, Ada Emrick; niece, Ramona Lanning; nephew, Kent (Kathy) Steinmetz; many other nieces and nephews; and all the friends through the years and friends of Embassy of Logan.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Mae Lanning; and siblings, Ernest Lanning, Burl Lanning, Donald Lanning, Hiram Lanning, Shirley Lanning, Kathleen Mitchell, Larry Lanning, Norma Withem, and Lucy Thomas.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 P.M., Thursday March 21, 2024, at the Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home in Logan, Ohio. Burial was in Salem Cemetery, New Straitsville, Ohio.
Calling hours were observed prior to the service from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. on Thursday March 21, 2024, at the funeral home.
