George Robert Styes, age 69, of Logan, Ohio, passed away May 4,2024, at his residence.
George was born October 27, 1954, in San Bernadino, California to George Styes Sr. and Dorothy “Dot” Styes. He served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War; loved driving trucks and tour buses; and loved golfing, fishing, and mowing grass.
Surviving are his wife, Amy Styes; children, John Styes, George Styes III, Melissa Dockry, and Eric Styes; several grandchildren; and siblings, Steve Styes, Carolyn “Peanut” Stacks, and Joan.
George was preceded in death by his parents.
Calling hours will be 1 pm – 3 pm on Saturday May 18, 2024, at the Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home in Logan, Ohio. A Military service, by the Hocking County Honor Guard, will be held at 3 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest a donation may be made to St. Jude’s Hospital in George’s name.
