Gloria June Patton Lax Buchanan, age 88, passed away peacefully November 13, 2018 at her home in Trimble, Ohio, after an extended illness, surrounded by her family and friends. She was the daughter of Lloyd E. and Ruth Warren Patton of Nelsonville, Ohio.
Gal is survived by her loving companion, Glenn “Leroy” Bell and loving dog “Baby”; son James “Jim” Lax; grandchildren, Jonathan Lax, Nathan Lax, and Chrissy Lax; 5 great-grandchildren, Allison, Trenton, Austin, Aiden, and Ethan Lax; siblings, David and Marlene Patton, Jerry and Judy Patton, Rev. Wilber and Linda White, Penny Patton, Steve and Linda Patton, and Becky and Paul Kurfis; extended family, Paula and Gary Webb, Joy and Charlie Comer and Willie, Donnie, Brandon, Clay, Cory, Clarissa, Gary Jr., and Steven and Logan; numerous nieces and nephews; daughter- in-law, Cheryl Lax; and sisters-in-law, Joan Hamilton and Norma Patton.
Gal was preceded in death by her parents; infant sister, Sonia; son, Robert “Bob” Lax; first husband, Robert Lax; second husband, Don Buchanan; sister Faith and Ron Swaim; and brother Michael Patton.
Funeral services were held Friday, November 16, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Warren-Brown Funeral Home Nelsonville, Ohio with Rev. Wilber White officiating. Burial was in Carbon Hill Cemetery, Carbon Hill, Ohio.
Calling hours were held Friday, November 16, 2018 from 11 am to time of service.
