James Pickett, age 69, of Nelsonville, Ohio, passed away January 27, 2021 at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus, Ohio, after falling at home.

Jim was born July 30, 1951 in Nelsonville, Ohio to the late Margie N. (Keyes) and William L. Pickett.
He was preceded in death by his brother Jacob; and a special friend, Justin Moore.
Jim was a Vietnam Veteran; worked at the Poston Operating Company; and was a volunteer for Nelsonville Food Cupboard for over 10 years. In his younger years you could find him at the local pool hall, where he was an avid “Pool Shark.”
He also loved “Junkin” and his dogs; and his witty sense of humor will surely be missed.
He is survived by siblings, Wayne Pickett of Carbon Hill, Denver (Buck) Pickett of Meigs County, Margie Marsden of Washington CH, Janie (Rich) Norris of New Lexington, Elaine “Bootie” (Hank) Lindsey of Nelsonville, Vickie Bailey of Nelsonville and Nancy (Jack) Waldren of Logan; and many nieces and nephews.
