Leona Marie Koon, age 62, of Zanesville, Ohio, passed away July 1, 2023.
Leona was born February 4, 1961, in Zanesville, Ohio to Wesley L. and Betty E. Spears.
Surviving are her sisters, Vicky Simerl, Millie Savage, Kay Rutter, Sinda Koon, and Mary Davidson; brother, John Spears; sons, Joey Koon and David Koon; grandchildren, Nicole Wickham, Jason Wickham, and Tasha Shirkey; and great-grandchild, Damien Spears.
Leona was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Koon Sr.; parents, Betty and Wesley Spears; son, Robert Koon Jr.; daughter, Martha Marie Koon; granddaughter, Tera Shirky; and brother, David Spears.
Funeral services were held at 5:00 PM, Thursday July 13, 2023, at the Brown Funeral Home, Murray City, Ohio with cremation following.
Calling hours were observed 1 – 5 PM, Thursday July 13, 2023, at the funeral home prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the funeral home to help with the unexpected funeral expenses.
