Shelba Marlene “Mangoo” Knight, 77, of Millfield, Ohio passed away August 18, 2018 at Pickering House, Lancaster, Ohio. Marlene was born March 9, 1941 in Athens County. She was in the Chauncey-Dover High School class of 1958; loved to read; enjoyed Christian programs; and was an avid Ohio State Buckeye Fan.
Surviving are her sons, Jeff Knight (Jean Thomas) of Chauncey and Jason Knight (Karen Bush Hutchinson) of Athens; daughter Jennifer (Jim) Peacock of Millfield, Ohio; grandchildren, Lindsey (Curtis) King, Tyler Peacock, and Airalle Mulford; siblings, Leta Davis, Larry (Charlene) Barnhart, and Ladonna Wood; special cousin Kay McKnabb; and several nieces and nephews.
Marlene was preceded in death by her father John Barnhart; mother Ora (Art) Bruce; husband Danny L. Knight who passed away in 2002; and brothers, Jack Barnhart, and John Junior Barnhart.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at the Warren-Brown Funeral Home, Nelsonville, Ohio with Rev. Larry Swarts officiating. Burial was in Hilltop Cemetery, Millfield, Ohio.
Calling hours were observed Tuesday 2-4 and 6-8 pm and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
