Shirley Ann Grigsby

Shirley Ann [Taylor] Grigsby, age 82, of Nelsonville, Ohio, passed away December 7, 2020 at Hocking Valley Hospital, Logan, Ohio.

Shirley was born April 8, 1938 in Nelsonville, Ohio to James and Edith Taylor. She was a graduate of Nelsonville High School Class of 1956. Shirley loved remodeling her homes and working in the yard with the flowers.  She had the best sense of humor, and always told you like it was, whether you liked it or not. Also, she was the most loving mother to her two children.

Surviving are her children, Angie and Scott (Karren Richards) Grigsby; sisters, Eileen (Ken) Patton and Marsha (Eddie) VanBibber; granddaughter, Jenna Grigsby; six nieces; and one nephew.

Shirley was preceded in death by her loving husband of fifty years, David H. Grigsby; her parents, James and Edith Taylor; sister Herberta (Bill) Chambers; brothers, Steve Taylor and James Taylor; and special niece, Sara Hinerman.

Funeral services were held at 12:00 P.M., Friday, December 11, 2020 at the Warren-Brown Funeral Home, Nelsonville, Ohio with Pastor John Wright officiating. Burial was in Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville, Ohio.

Calling hours were observed 6-8 pm on Thursday, December 10, 2020 at the funeral home.
