Susie Wynona Gray, age 82, of Logan, Ohio, passed away January 13, 2023, at the Ohio State University Hospital, Columbus, Ohio.
Susie was born May 28, 1940, in Louisburg, West Virginia to Newman and Dora Laudermilk. Susie enjoyed Bingo, Chinese Auctions, and the Hocking County Fair. She especially liked to watch her son and grandsons in the Demolition Derby.
Surviving are children, Mary (Dane) Smith, Sharon (David) Esteph, John Hicks, Rick (Dodie) Gray, Bill (Beth) Gray, and Sam Gray; and her other daughter, Shelia Buckley; 17 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Mariam Hicks, Thelma Wyatt and Bonnie Gray-Smith; brother-in-law, Alford Gray; and many nieces and nephews.
Susie was preceded in death by parents; stepfather, Henry Collins; husbands, Walter Hicks and Richard Gray; son, Walter Lee Hicks II; siblings, Bill Collins, Sylvia Spencer and Gene Laudermilk; daughters-in-law, Betty Hicks and Amie Gray; grandson, Matthew Winland; and great-granddaughter, Leanna Amerine.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 P.M., Thursday, January 19, 2023, at the Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home, Logan, Ohio with Rev. Rick Bennington officiating. Burial was in Carbon Hill Cemetery, Carbon Hill, Ohio.
Calling hours were observed 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. on Thursday, January 19, 2023, at the funeral home.
