Jonathan Neal Schenz, age 76, of Buchtel, Ohio, passed away May 8, 2023, at Pickering House, Lancaster, Ohio.
Neal was born August 25, 1946, in Logan Ohio, to Joseph “Dyke” Schenz and Phyllis Wend Schenz. He served in the US Army in Vietnam; retired from Rockwell in Columbus; worked for the Granville Township; life member of the Nelsonville VFW; member of the Murray City American Legion; member of the Amvets in Logan; and loved riding motorcycles.
Surviving are his wife of 37 years, Helen Schenz; son, Jonathan T. (Heidi) Schenz of Belpre; daughter, Jackie Schenz Randolph of Jacksonville, Florida; stepson, Nicholas Wessinger of Lancaster; grandchildren, Anzley, Aubrey, Hailey, Nicholas II, Sydney, and Conner; great-grandchild, August; sisters, Judy Thompson, and Anita Reliford, both of Nelsonville; and many nieces and nephews.
Neal was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Phillip Schenz; sister, Joyce Smart; and nephew, Robbie Reliford.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm, on Saturday, July 8, 2023, at Greenlawn Cemetery in Nelsonville, Ohio. A military graveside service will be conducted by the Combined Color Guard.
