Roy Hamilton, age 91, of Lancaster, Ohio, passed away January 24, 2019.
Roy was born December 14, 1927 in Pikeville, KY to Anthony Hamilton and Lovel Hamilton.
Surviving are his wife, Louise Hamilton; children, Rex Hamilton of Zephyrhills, FL, Roger (Jackie) Hamilton of Xenia, OH, and Mavis (David) Jones of Wellston, OH; 3 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Jewell Franks of Columbus, OH and Dallie (Hank) Forgey of Thurman, OH; brothers, Ray (Beatrice) Hamilton of MI and Robert Hamilton of Vinton, OH; step-sons, Rocky (Teresa) Johnson of Lancaster, OH and Trevis (Kelly) Johnson of Salsburry, SC; step-granddaughter, Kasidy Johnson of Salsburry, SC; and many nieces and nephews.
Roy was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Rubel Kent and brother, Russell Hamilton.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at the Warren-Brown Funeral Home, Nelsonville, Ohio with Revs. Ray Hamilton and William Hunt officiating. Burial was at 2 PM in Little Pearl Church Cemetery, Vinton, Ohio.
Calling hours were observed from 5 PM to 8 pm on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at the funeral home.
