Sherman Durfee, 78, of Nelsonville, Ohio passed away July 12, 2016 at Fairfield Medical Center Lancaster, Ohio. Sherman was born December 5, 1937 in Ohio to Herman and Grace Durfee.Surviving are his wife of 46 years, Esther Marlene Durfee of Nelsonville; step-children, Jim (Brenda) Weston Jr. of Malta, Keith (Jane) Weston Sr. of Nelsonville, Kathy Loudin of Nelsonville, and Rhonda (Jim) Martin Watkins of Nelsonville; 8 step-grandchildren; several step-great-grandchildren; sister, Della (Clarence) Leedy of Athens; sister-in-law, Juanita Decker of Nelsonville; and several nieces and nephews. Sherman was preceded in death by his parents; several brothers and sisters; sister-in-law, Verna Decker; and brother-in-law, Charles (Betty) Smith Jr.. Funeral services were held 10:00 am Monday, July 18, 2016 at the Warren-Brown Funeral Home Nelsonville, Ohio with Rev. Bill McManis officiating. Burial was in Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville, Ohio. Calling hours were observed Sunday, July 17, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family would greatly appreciate donations be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
