Violet E. Bush, 81, of Nelsonville, Ohio passed away August 23, 2015 at Laurels of Athens, Athens, Ohio. Violet was born August 28, 1933 in Nelsonville, Ohio to William and Irene Chutes. She is a 1953 graduate of Carbon Hill High School and a member of the United Pentecostal Church of Nelsonville. Surviving are her daughters, Catherine (Dave) Giffin of Nelsonville and Karen (Jason Knight) Bush-Hutchison of Athens; grandchildren, Heather (Caleb) Tolliver Reedsville, Heath (Whitney Bohlen) Hutchison of Albany, Chris (Johanna) Giffin of Cincinnati, and Eric (Kelly) Giffin of Nelsonville; great-grandchildren, Gauge, Charly, Violet, Liz, Colton, Ryleigh, Ashlyn, and Jackson; and many nieces and nephews. Violet was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Milton David Bush; grandchildren, Jennifer Powell and Allen Giffin; sisters, Mary Hook and Helen Bowman; and brother, Sam Wolfe. Funeral services were held 7:00 pm Friday, August 28, 2015 at the Warren-Brown Funeral Home, Nelsonville, Ohio with Pastor Lew Dunnells officiating. Burial was in Dew Cemetery, Buchtel, Ohio. Calling hours were observed Friday, August 28, 2015 from 5:00 pm to time of service at the funeral home.
