Betty L. Kasler 89, of Nelsonville, Ohio, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loved ones, on January 3, 2017 at her residence. Betty was born August 20, 1927 in Athens County, Ohio to Frank and Mary Barnhart. She liked to go to yard sales, work on crossword puzzles, and to drive her black Ford; and she and her husband loved to dance. Surviving are her son, Ted E. (Jane) Kasler of Chauncey; brother, Dean Barnhart of Athens; grandchildren, Kimberly (Johnny) Oehlers, whom lived with Betty and they were her caregivers, Brian Kasler of Little Hocking, Robin Kasler of Logan, Marsha Luman of Columbus, Georgianna Reed of Breman, Scott Kasler of Logan, Ronnie Kasler of Union Furnace, Steve Kasler of Nelsonville, and Raymond Kasler of Nelsonville; 9 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Betty was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Kasler, whom passed away October 21, 2006; and sons, Bob, Ronnie, George, Gary, and Frank Kasler. Funeral services were held 1:00 pm Friday, January 6, 2017 at the Warren-Brown Funeral Home Nelsonville, Ohio with Rev. Mike Thomas officiating. Burial was in Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville, Ohio. Calling hours were observed Thursday, January 5, 2017 from 4-8 pm and Friday, January 6, 2017 from 12:00 Noon to time of service.
