Bonnie Lou Canter Hall

Bonnie Lou Canter Hall, 69, of New Straitsville, Ohio passed away December 14, 2015 at Logan Health Care Center, Logan, Ohio. Bonnie was born September 6, 1946 in Murray City, Ohio to Harry and Ruth M. Canter. She was a member of both Murray City and New Straitsville United Methodist Churches, where she loved to serve the Lord. Bonnie retired from Rocky Boot Shoe Co. after 30+ years; loved to cook and was known for her peanut butter fudge. She enjoyed her nurses and aides at Logan Healthcare and the wonderful staff at FairHoPe Hospice. Bonnie was the loving mother to Michelle (Robert Lutz) Hall of Sugargrove; step-children, Melvin R. Hall of New Straitsville, Lisa (Tracy)Botts of Junction City; grandmother to Christopher C.J.(Kaylin Wellspring)Hall, Shelby Hall, Katie Hall, Dalton Hall all of New Straitsville; great grandmother to Jordan Hall and Landan Hall of New Straitsville, and Maddie Nestor; step-grandchildren, Malinda Fletcher and Shania Botts of Junction City; sister Catherine Canter of Murray City; brother Dale (Daisy) Canter of Hamden; and several nieces and nephews. Although she had many friends, there were two that were dear to her heart, Brenda Kasler of Nelsonville and Dianna Campbell of New Straitsville. Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, H.R. Hall, who passed away February 20, 2001: brother, Harry Canter Jr.; sisters, Willetta Summerfield, Wanda Self, and Marie Ball; and her twin, Beverly Sue Nungester. Funeral services were held Sunday, December 20, 2015 at 1:30 pm at the Brown Funeral Home Murray City, Ohio with Rev. Ernie Perkins officiating. Burial was in Salem Cemetery, Murray City, Ohio. Calling hours were observed Saturday, December 19, 2015 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
