Jack R. Reynolds

Jack R. Reynolds, 87, of Sandusky, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday morning, June 4, 2016, in Stein Hospice Care Center. He was born May 21, 1929 in Monday, OH, to the late Lawrence and Mattie (Brooks) Reynolds. Jack was a 1947 graduate of Carbon Hill High School, and retired from the former New Departure Hyatt, division of General Motors after 30 years of service. He was a lifetime member of the Eagles and the Moose; loved sports, playing softball and bowling; and enjoyed eating at Berardi’s Restaurant. Jack is survived by his daughters, Deborah (Mike) Lane of Castalia, OH and Karen Sherman of Sandusky, OH; grandchildren, Michael (Tara) Lane Jr., Joshua (Olivia) Lane and Sarah Adkins; great-grandchildren, Kari, Collin, Kaleb, Jordan, Abbe, Mike, Brenna, Garrhett, Mikayla, Mackenzie, Gabriella, Gaven, and Sophia; and great-great-grandchild, Jaelyn. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Garnet Smathers, Barbara McKinney and Helen Hopstetter; brothers, Virgil and Delbert; and a great-grandson, Joseph. Friends called on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 from 3 PM until time of service at 5 PM, at Toftt Funeral Home, Sandusky. Jack was transported to Warren-Brown Funeral Home, Nelsonville, Ohio where friends called on Thursday, June 9, 2016 from 11 AM until the time of service at 1 PM. Burial was in Dew Cemetery, Nelsonville, Ohio.
