James R. Fletcher, 44, of Nelsonville, Ohio passed away July 9, 2017 at O’Bleness Hospital, Athens, Ohio. James was born March 12, 1973 in Athens, Ohio. He loved to fish; loved the outdoors; and enjoyed coffee. Surviving are his son, Dakota J. Castle of Reynoldsburg; sisters, Kris Metcalf of Palmetto, FL and Jaala (John) Perry Nelsonville; brother, Clint Carpenter of Athens; and 2 nieces, 3 nephews, and one on the way. James was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Taylor; special uncle, James R. Taylor; and brother-in-law, Mark R. Metcalf. A celebration of Life was observed Wednesday, July 12, 2017 from 3:00 to 7:00 pm, with dinner 5:00 pm, at the St. Mary of the Hills Parish Hall on Washington St. Nelsonville, Ohio. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Warren-Brown Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses. Arrangements are by Warren-Brown Funeral Home, Nelsonville, Ohio.
