Joyce Lee Dane, 78, of Nelsonville, Ohio passed away November 1, 2016 at Fairfield Medical Center Lancaster, Ohio. Joyce was born October 5, 1938 in Nelsonville, Ohio to Leo and Margaret Anderson. She was a 1956 graduate of Nelsonville High School; member Nelsonville Wesleyan Church; member of the Venice Class of the church; formerly worked at the TB Hospital in Nelsonville and retired from The Athens Mental Health Center. Surviving are her daughter, Kelly (Tim) Adams; granddaughters, Sarah & Abigail Adams of Nelsonville; brother, David (Lana) Anderson of Caldwell; brothers-in- law, Keith Dane of Carbon Hill, and Delbert Smith of Haydenville; sisters-in-law, Mary Lou Dane of New Plymouth, and Erma Dane of Carbon Hill; and several nieces and nephews. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Terry R. Dane, who passed away May 17, 2010; brother, Edward Anderson, who passed away July 30, 2016; grandson, Caleb Adams, who passed away in 1994; sister-in-law, Phyllis Smith; brothers-in-law, Estel Dane, and Ted Dane. Graveside services were held at 11:00 am Friday November 4, 2016 at the Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville, Ohio with Rev. Mike Thomas officiating. Calling hours were observed Thursday 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Warren-Brown Funeral Home in Nelsonville.
