Marsha King

Marsha Faye King, 67, of Canal Winchester, Ohio passed away July 24, 2018 at The James Cancer Hospital, Columbus, Ohio.

Marsha was born September 16, 1950 in Nelsonville to Walter W. and Charlotte “Sue” Mitchell.

She was a graduate of York High School; and worked at Fairfield Elementary. She was very active with Special Olympics and tried to promote and improve their lives. She also loved spending time with her family and friends. Her pride and joy were her grandchildren. Marsha loved going to the beach and loved her dogs, Opie and Maggie.

Surviving are her husband of 46 years, David King of Canal Winchester; sons, Greg (Stacy) King of Canal Winchester, Brian King of Canal Winchester, and Kevin (Karla) King of Carroll; grandchildren, Rylan, Reagan, and Aidan; brothers, Michael (Sandy) Mitchell of Lancaster, Jan (Jennifer) Mitchell of Lancaster, Steve (Janet) Mitchell of Nelsonville, Jeff Mitchell and Terri Jones of Shade, Rick (Vicki Davis) Mitchell of Murray City, and Doug (Carmen) Mitchell of Nelsonville; sister-in-law, Shirley Mitchell of Wilmington; several nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Maddie Mitchell.

Marsha was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Dennis Mitchell.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 am, Monday , July 30, 2018 at the Holy Cross Catholic Church, Glouster, Ohio, with Fr. Christopher Foxhoven and Rev. Mike Thomas officiating. Following the service, lunch was served at the church. After lunch, there was a procession to Greenlawn Cemetery in Nelsonville for a graveside service and burial.

Calling hours were observed from 2 to 4 pm Sunday July 29, 2018 at the Dwayne R Spence Funeral Home in Pickerington, Ohio, and from 6 to 8 pm Sunday July 29, 2018 at the Warren-Brown Funeral Home in Nelsonville, Ohio. Christian Wake Service was held at 7:30 pm Sunday at the Warren-Brown Funeral Home.
