Mary J. Kettell, 90, of Nelsonville, Ohio passed away September 13, 2016 at Logan Health Care, Logan, Ohio. Mary was born September 18, 1925 in Nelsonville, Ohio to Reed and Edna Warren. She was a foster grandparent; attended the Wesleyan Church and the Nazarene Church of Nelsonville; and was known as “Grandma Tell.” Surviving are her daughters, Barbara (Ralph) Wetzel of Nelsonville and Betty A. Dalton of Nelsonville; grandchildren, Melissa (Mike) Troxel of Bremen, Angela (Terrence) Grimes of Albany; great-grandchildren, Nick Troxel of Bremen, Reid Troxel of Bremen, Owen Troxel of Bremen, Mada Grimes of Albany, and Gabe Grimes of Albany; great-great-grandchild, Bailey Troxel of Bremen; several nieces and nephews; special friends and neighbors; and she will be missed by all the family. Mary was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lawrence, who passed away Ocotber 3, 1973; only grandson, Adam C. Dalton, who passed away August 4, 2004; siblings, Annabelle Green, Raymond Warren, Robert Warren, Donald Warren; and niece Linda Warren. Funeral services were held 1:00 pm Monday, September 19, 2016, at the Warren-Brown Funeral Home, Nelsonville, Ohio with Rev. Ed True officiating. Burial was in Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville, Ohio. Calling hours were observed Sunday, September 18, 2016, from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
