Steven Eugene Griffin, 54, of Nelsonville, Ohio passed away November 20, 2017 at O’Blenness Hospital, Athens, Ohio. Steven was born December 27, 1962 in Nelsonville, Ohio to Roy Eugene and Marlene Nancy Griffin. He was a member of the NRA: a graduate of Nelsonville-York High School; and attended Hocking College. Surviving are his wife, Carolyn; daughter, Carrie Rader of New Marshfield; grandchildren, Katelyn McCune, Michael Simms, Aden McCune and Gage Gates; sister, Teresa (Buddy) Cunningham of Nelsonville; mother, Marlene Griffin of Nelsonville; and special friends, Tom Polley of Logan and Cathy Arnett of Logan. Steven was preceded in death by his father, Roy Griffin; and son, Jason McCune. Funeral services were held at 1 pm Saturday November 25, 2017 at the Warren-Brown Funeral Home, Nelsonville, Ohio with Pastor Woody Frasure officiating. Calling hours were observed Friday November 24, 2017 from 5-8 pm and Saturday from 11 am to time of service.
