Betty Elaine Spears 85, of Corning, Ohio passed away March 23, 2015 at her residence. Betty was born Januray 25, 1930 in Columbus, Ohio to Frank William and Leona Mary Perry. Surviving are her children, Vicky (Ed) Sarver, Leona (Bob) Koon, Sinda Koon, Kay Rutter, Millie (David) Savage, John (Audrey) Spears, Herman (Leona) Schwalbach, Mary Davidson, Frank Schwalbach, Charles (Anna) Schwalbach, and Lorretta (Ennis) Meyer; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister Lenora “Petie” Gossett; and several nieces and nephews. Betty was preceded in death by her parents; husband Wesley Spears; son, David Allen Spears; infant daughter Margarita; and sisters, Heilda Meyer and Loretta Perry. Funeral services were held 1:00 pm Friday, March 27, 2015 at the Brown Funeral Home Murray City, Ohio with Rev. Dr. Randy Hardman officiating. Burial was in Beech Grove Cemetery, Perry County, Ohio. Calling hours were observed Thursday, March 26, 2015 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
