David Arthur Kennedy 73, of Nelsonville, Ohio passed away February 6, 2017 at O’Bleness Hospital, Athens, Ohio. David was born November 22, 1943 in Columbus, Ohio to Arthur Alvin and Martha Imogene Kennedy. He was a 1961 graduate of Nelsonville High School; member of the Glouster Masons; and worked and retired at the State Garage. Surviving are his sons, David Alan Kennedy of Nelsonville and Adam Edward Kennedy of Vienna, WV; and ex-wife, Nyoka Kennedy of Nelsonville. David was preceded in death by his parents. Graveside services were held 11:00 am Friday, February 10, 2017 at the Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville, Ohio with Rev. King Kelly officiating. There will be Military Graveside services, held by the Athens County Honor Guard. Calling hours were observed Thursday, February 9, 2017 from 5-7 pm at Warren-Brown Funeral Home Nelsonville, Ohio, with Masonic services at 6:30 pm.
