Donald K Lanning, 85, of New Straitsville,
Ohio passed away February 4, 2018 at his residence.
Donald was born April 11, 1932 in Misco, Ohio to Lawrence and Mae
Lanning.
Surviving are his grandchildren, Jim Davis, Kimberly Davis, and Phillip Morgan;
sisters, Kathleen Mitchell of Coonville, Virginia Lanning of Logan, and Arlene
Emrick of Kentucky; and special nephew, Steve Lanning of Glouster.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Hiram, Burl, Ernest and
Larry Lanning; and sisters, Norma Withem, Shirley Steinmetz, and Lucey Thomas.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 pm, Friday, February 9, 2018 at the Brown
Funeral Home, Murray City, Ohio with Rev Elijah Brooks officiating. Burial was
in Salem Cemetery, Murray City, Ohio.
Calling hours were observed Thursday February 8, 2018 from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8
pm at the funeral home.
