Harvey “Dick” Turn

Harvey Richard “Dick” Turn 84, of Nelsonville, Ohio, formerly of Jobs, Ohio, passed away October 30, 2015 at his residence. Dick was born March 6, 1931 in Jobs Hollow, Ohio to Carl Richard and Polly Turn. He was a 1949 graduate of Murray City High School; worked for 43 years and 8 months at Brooks Shoe Factory; attended an area church in Jobs and the Wesleyan Church in Murray City; and was also a musician in several area dance bands. Surviving are several nieces and nephews including, Jaynee (Craig Castenova) Brooks and Emily (Matthew Clark) Davenport and her children Kayson Maxell and Julius Clark; and sister-in-law Mary Frances Turn. Dick was preceded in death by his parents; brother John Turn; and sisters, Lucille Turn, Louise Spencer, and Elizabeth Davenport. Funeral services were held 11:00 am Monday, November 2, 2015 at the Warren-Brown Funeral Home, Nelsonville, Ohio with Pastor Tim Poling officiating. Burial was in Conner Cemetery, Buchtel, Ohio. Calling hours were observed Sunday, November 1, 2015 from 2-6 pm at the funeral home.
