Mont Lowry Jr.

Mont C. Lowry Jr., 73, of Whitehall, Ohio passed away August 19, 2018 at Mount Carmel East, Columbus, Ohio.

Mont was born February 11, 1945 in Logan, Ohio to Mont C. Lowry and Helen Allbaugh Lowry. Mont was a U.S. Army veteran having served in Vietnam War as a medic. He was a mechanic for many years; loved cars and guitars but loved his family most of all.

Surviving are his daughter Laura (Allen) Lowry of Whitehall; son Michael (Renita) Lowry of Whitehall; grandchildren, Ryan (Eva), Carol (Josh), Alayna, Josh, Austin, Mikey, and Katelyn; great-grandchildren, Savannah, Rylan, L.J., and Bailey; siblings, Linda Cristofani of Gahanna, Gary (Brenda) Lowry of Pataskala, and Debra (Ronald) Paulk of Pickerington; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Mont was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 48 years, Carolyn Adams Lowry, who passed away October 10, 2016; son Monty Lowry, who passed away December 30, 2008; sister Sue Lowry Robson; and mother-in-law, Joann Adams Spencer.

Funeral services were held at 1:00 pm, Thursday, August 23, 2018 at the Warren-Brown Funeral Home, Nelsonville, Ohio with Pastor Robert Linder officiating. Burial was in Connett Cemetery, Nelsonville, Ohio, where Military Graveside services were held by the Combined Color Guard.

Calling hours were observed Wednesday, August 22, 2018 from 6-8 pm and Thursday, August 23, 2018 from 12:00 Noon to time of service.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations may be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
