Michael
Howard Maccombs, 58, of Shade, Ohio passed away unexpectedly at his
residence on Monday, October 16, 2017.
Mike was born June 20, 1959 in Nelsonville, Ohio. He was the son of
Melvin and Jeri Maccombs of Nelsonville. He was a 1977 graduate of
Nelsonville High School.
Mike is survived by his wife, Teresa Taylor Maccombs; daughter, Rea of
California; parents; and step-son, John (Rachael) Russell of Illonois,
and their children, Ethan, Amelia, George and Calvin. He is also
survived by his brothers,
Matthew (Patty) Maccombs of Nelsonville, and Douglas (Becky) Maccombs of
Nelsonville; nieces, Samantha, Stephanie and Seana; and many aunts,
uncles and cousins.
Mike was active in the Boy Scouts growing up; was a supervisor for
HAVAR; and was a member of the Catholic Church of Buchtel.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 11:00 am at
the St. Mary of the Hills Catholic Church, Buchtel, Ohio, with Father
Christopher Foxhoven officiating. Burial was in Greenlawn Cemetery,
Nelsonville, Ohio.
Calling hours were observed on Friday, October 20, 2017, from 2-4 to 6-8
pm at the Warren-Brown Funeral Home, Nelsonville, Ohio, with a
Christian Wake Service at 7:30 pm.
