Yvonne A. Short, 81, of Glouster, Ohio passed
away April 17, 2017 at Hocking Valley Community Hospital, Logan, Ohio.
Yvonne was born February 25, 1936 in Gallipolis Ferry, WV to Asa and Evelyn
Henry. She was a graduate of Point Pleasant High School; and member of the
Glouster Southern Baptist Church.
Surviving are her sons, James D. (Loretta) Short of Columbus, and Alfred
(Sharon) Short of Glouster; daughters, Patsy Handa of Glouster, and Tracy
(Rick) Zimmerman of Glouster; 7 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; and
sisters, Virginia Long of Gallipolis Ferry,WV, Geraldine Adams of Gallipolis
Ferry, Margaret Yester of Gallipolis Ferry, and Maxine Johnson of
Minnesota.
Yvonne was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Alfred F. Short Sr., who
passed away in August of 2005; and sisters, Mahala Jones, and Ann Fisher.
Funeral services were held 1:00 pm Friday April 21, 2017 at the Glouster
Southern Baptist Church in Glouster, Ohio with Phil Westenbarger, Bill Wellman,
and Cliff Coleman officiating. Burial was in Beech Grove Cemetery, Glouster,
Ohio
Calling hours were observed one hour prior to the service at the church.
