Florence Jean Sycks, 92, of Logan, Ohio, passed away December 7, 2018 at Fairfield Medical Center, Lancaster, Ohio. Florence was born October 7, 1926 in New Marshfield, Ohio to William and Alice Stone. She was a member of the First Church of Christ in Logan; and enjoyed riding bikes and roller skating in her younger years. Surviving are her son, David (Cathy) Sycks of Logan; daughter Linda (John) Judson of Logan; foster son James Looker; 7 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, uncles, and aunts; and loving pet Baby. Florence was preceded in death by her parents; husband, F. Marion Sycks, whom passed away in 2003; grandson Buddy Blackburn; brother William R. Stone; life long friends, Rachel Grace Duda and Emmitt Taylor; and mother-in-law Freda Sycks. Funeral services were held at 1:00 pm, Thursday, December 13, 2018 at the Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home, Logan, Ohio with Rev. Mark Barrell Officiating. Burial was in Shaw Cemetery, Logan, Ohio. Calling hours were observed Wednesday, December 12, 2018 from 4-7 pm at the funeral home.
