Michael Ware

Michael Kenyatta Ware, 49, of Logan, Ohio passed away August 24, 2018 at Hocking Valley Community Hospital, Logan, Ohio, following a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Michael was born January 19, 1969 in Hamilton County, Ohio to Marcus and Mildred K. Ware. He was a 1987 graduate of Walnut Hills High School; attended Xavier University in Cincinnati; worked 22 years as a sheriff’s deputy with the Hamilton County Sheriff; and was founder and co-owner of Western Hills Kung-fu and Tai Chi. Surviving are his mother; wife Kimberly; sons, Emanual, Keygan Michael and Drayden Calvin; daughter Airiana, of the home; special son, Levi; brothers, Eric Ware of Cincinnati, Kenneth Ware of Cincinnati, and Martin D. (Amy) Ware of Cincinnati; sister Sheila A Ware of Cincinnati; mother-in-law Margurita Lawson of Logan; father-in-law David Lawson Sr. of Georgia; brothers-in-law, David Lawson Jr. of Logan and Timothy (Andrew) Lawson of Canton, Georgia; special sister-in-law Holly (Alex) Arbuiso; and several aunts, including a special aunt Deanna (Bryan) Flowers. Michael was preceded in death by his father; brother Gary Ware; sister Marsha Curtain; and brother-in-law Robert D. Lawson. Funeral services were held at 12:00 Noon, Thursday, August 30, 2018 at the Logan Conference Center, 30682 Chieftain Drive, Logan, Ohio 43138, with Pastor Mike Thompson officiating. Burial was in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, New Straitsville, Ohio. Calling hours were observed Wednesday, August 29, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home, 204 W Main St., Logan, Ohio and one hour prior to the service at the conference center on Thursday. The family suggests donations be made to the WareStrong Fund- a go fund me account.
