L. Chilcote 78, of Nelsonville, Ohio# passed away April 30, 2017 at his
residence Nelsonville, Ohio.
Arthur was born April 29, 1939 in Nelsonville, Ohio. He retired from
Brooks Shoe Co. after 35 years; and loved to fish and hunt.
Surviving are his wife of 51 years Florence “Dodie” Chilcote of
Nelsonville; sons, Ray Pickett of Nelsonville and Arthur L. (Mel)
Chilcote of Logan; grandchildren, Lauren Milsted, Cody Pickett, Tyler
Chilcote, Lacy Chilcote, Dalton Chilcote, Andrew Chilcote, Aiden
Chilcote, and Sassy Pickett; several great-grandchildren; brothers,
Eddie Chilcote of Nelsonville and Paul Chilcote of Jackson; sister Helen
Johnson of Buchtel; and several nieces and nephews.
Arthur was preceded in death by his parents; several brothers and
sisters; and grandson Bobby Chilcote.
Funeral services were held 1:00 pm Wednesday May 3, 2017 at the
Warren-Brown Funeral Home Nelsonville, Ohio with Rev. Lewis Dunnels
officiating. Burial was in Carbon Hill Cemetery, Carbon Hill, Ohio.
Calling hours were observed Wednesday, May 3, 2017 from 11:00 am to time
of service at the funeral home.
