James Edward Stumbo, 69, of Nelsonville, Ohio passed away June 28, 2017 at Fairfield Medical Center Lancaster, Ohio. James was born April 2, 1948 in Logan, Ohio to William and Helen Louise Stumbo. He was a 1967 graduate of Nelsonville High School. Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Linda Lu Gretz Stumbo; son, James Scott Stumbo (Amanda Whitmore) of Logan; daughter, Stacey Aileen (Mark) Gatesman of Brunswick; sisters, Flora (Robert) Martin of Logan and Betty (Lonnie) Glenn of Logan; 5 grandchildren, Alexa and Garrett Gatesman, and Jayme, Hayle and Joshua Stumbo; numerous nieces and nephews; special friends, Jerry Teal and Tom Wilkinson; and good friends, too numerous to count. James was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Faye Singer and Lorretta Patterson; brother, Robert Stumbo; and good buddy, Eldon Smart. Funeral services were held 1:00 pm Saturday July 1, 2017 at the Warren-Brown Funeral Home Nelsonville, Ohio with Rev. King Kelly officiating. Calling hours were observed Friday from 4-7 pm and Saturday from 10:30 am to time of service.
