Ronald Vandall

Ronald Marshall Vandall, 82, of Logan, Ohio passed away August 18, 2018 at his residence. Ronald was born September 20, 1935 in Parkersburg, West Virginia to Aubrey Bernard and Ruby Mae Vandall. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict and retired from the U.S. Navy; attended the Logan Church of the Nazarene; and was a member of the Masonic Lodge, VFW, American Legion, and the Navy Reserve Association. Surviving are his wife Betty Vandall of Logan; daughter Pamela Sue (John) Synnes; grandchildren, Michael John (Jess Dovel) Synnes, Sean Steven (Jessica) Synnes, Roni Janeane (Jordan Gilling) Synnes, and Ryan James (Emily Manalo) Synnes; great-grandchildren, Rilee, Evan, Allee, Sophee, Rylan; sister Jo Anne (Harry) Summerfield; sisters-in-law, Shirley Adams, Jean Todd, Dreama Lyons, and Dorothy Adkins; brother-in-law Donald Adkins; several nieces and nephews; his beloved pet Midnight; and special friends, Betty Cordial, Sharma Weedy, Beth Ogg, and Charlotte Kincaid. Ronald was preceded in death by his parents; son Michael Lee Vandall; and special furry companion Flicker. Funeral services were held at 11:00 am, Saturday, August 25, 2018 at the Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home, Logan, Ohio with Rev. Thomas L. Gates II officiating. Burial was in Knollwood Cemetery, Logan, Ohio, where Military Graveside services were held by the Hocking County Honor Guard. Calling hours were observed Friday, August 24, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
