William F. Spring, 91, of Nelsonville, Ohio formerly of Mansfield and Columbus, Ohio passed away August 13, 2018 at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus, Ohio.
William was born June 16, 1927 in Newark, Ohio to Herman and Mildred Spring. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of WWII; Quarter Master and Life Member of the VFW #3467; life member of the Amvets #1776 and NAUS of Columbus; and member of the American Legion #229, Eagles #1044 and the Elks #543.
Surviving are his wife and companion of 40 years Rita (Fields) Spring; sons Greg (Kathy) Spring, Kim Spring, Guy Matthew Spring, and Shannon (Lisa) Spring; daughter Roxanne Spring; 8 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.
William was preceded in death by his parents; and grandparents that raised him.
Funeral services were held at 7:00 pm, Thursday, August 16, 2018 at the Warren-Brown Funeral Home, Nelsonville, Ohio. A Military Combined Color Guard Service was held at 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
Calling hours were observed Thursday, August 16, 2018 from 3-7 pm at the funeral home.
